About TCCF
Built the Texas way: show up, do the work, come back.
Texas Community Charities Foundation is a 501(c)(3) committed to improving the quality of life of the people who live in our community — by eliminating barriers to opportunity and helping people in need reach their fullest potential.
From a garage to the whole state.
Five chapters, one through-line: we go where the need is, and we stay.
2017
Three folding tables in Mesquite
A handful of neighbors start packing groceries out of a borrowed garage on Interstate 30. The first drive serves 40 families.
2020
The year the lines got long
When the pandemic hit, TCCF partnered with two food banks and ran curbside distributions every weekend — 90,000 meals that year alone.
2022
Backpacks become our second front
We filled 10,000 backpacks in a donated warehouse, working with school counselors to reach kids who'd otherwise be missed.
2024
Statewide, quietly
Shelter partnerships and holiday meal programs spread beyond the Metroplex. We add bilingual outreach and a second distribution hub.
Today
15+ partners and counting
Food banks, school districts, family and women's shelters, churches, and civic clubs — one community at a time, exactly as planned.
Three words we refuse to outsource.
Every program, every partner, every volunteer shift is graded against these.
Equality
No application for dignity. We don't ask how someone got here or what they believe — only what they need this week.
Dignity
People are guests, not cases. Our distributions look like a market, not a line for pity.
Humanity
We answer the phone, return the email, and remember the names. Charity with a face on it.
How a dollar travels.
Four steps, two pairs of hands on every check, zero mystery.
01
A gift arrives
Online, by mail, or through a donor-advised fund. It's receipted the same day.
02
It gets designated
To the program you chose — or to wherever the need is sharpest this month.
03
It goes to work
Most gifts reach a food bank, shelter, or classroom within thirty days.
04
You see the result
Monthly field notes with real numbers, and a full annual report every spring.
Board of Directors.
Our board members are actively engaged in the work we do, partnering with staff and volunteers to serve our community. They help guide the mission, oversee financial stewardship, and ensure accountability to our donors and the neighbors we serve.
