01The Work

Five quiet ways to be a good neighbor.

No campaigns, no fanfare. Just five lines of work that hold a community together — each with its own page, its own numbers, and its own crew.

02Faces of the Work

The names behind the numbers.

Four stories from the field — told with permission, and with the same dignity we try to bring to everything.

A mother and her children preparing fresh vegetables together in a kitchen
Vanessa and the kids, the Sunday after distribution dayNº 01

“You don't realize how heavy groceries are until you stop carrying the worry.”

Vanessa R. · Round Rock — Mother of three

When the layoffs hit the plant, Vanessa did the math on the kitchen table: rent first, electricity second, groceries whatever was left — and some months, nothing was. She never missed rent. What she missed was vegetables, school-night spaghetti without the worry, and the ability to say yes at the grocery store. TCCF's monthly distribution closed the gap, and the weekend meal program did the rest. A year on, Vanessa volunteers on the same line that served her. 'I'm not out of the woods,' she says, 'but I'm not alone in them anymore.'

The Mission

“We meet every human being on their level — with equality, dignity, and humanity.”

Texas Community Charities Foundation is committed to improving the quality of life of the people who live in our community by eliminating barriers to opportunity and helping people in need reach their fullest potential. We accomplish this by providing donations to food banks, feeding families during the holidays, and assisting families and women's shelters across the state.

Our organization does not know race, rank, or religious affiliation. We come to the table the same way the people we serve do — as neighbors, first.

“TCCF showed up on a Tuesday with two pallets and twelve volunteers, and they have shown up every month since. There is no organization in this town I would vouch for faster.”
